A winter camping road trip to Marion, N.C.
was in order to document the continued
aftermath of hurricane Helene.
I arrived and toured at the worse hit
area between Asheville and Marion N.C.
Black Mountain is located on the
southern tip
of the Blue Ridge Mountains
along the mountain range in western N.C.
The Black Mountain range is the highest
mountains in the Eastern United States.
It is the Eastern Continental Divide
where
precipitation flows west toward
Asheville and east toward Marion
by creeks and rivers into different basins.
