I was enrolled in Radio School and working part-time for Lowe Electronics when Fire Chief Williams drove this truck into the bay for the Motorola radio installation.
Installations were scheduled around my part-time hours.
After doing most of the installation, I only had to install the antenna to complete the job.
"Chief Williams.  Where do you want me to put the roof mount antenna?"

"That's your job.  Find a place."
I did.

The antenna was installed on the short ridge just over the steering wheel.
Not visible in the photo.
NOTE: The radio has long ago been outdated and removed but the mike, control head and antenna are still where it was installed in 1968.
