Crater Lake, Oregon
Getting here was not an easy task and
staying here was not user friendly (no internet, WiFi worthless, and no cell
coverage, can you believe?)
However, in my opinion, while the lake was more than I expected to see, the view
from the left side around the lake
was even better.
In this one location, I felt like I had revisited Wyoming Arizona, Montana, and
California and more. )
I spent the best two days here anyone could have hoped. Crater Lake has
two seasons, winter and August.
To catch the park in October still open, no snow to be found, cool sunny weather
two days in a row
is truly rare. While it may look wonderful after a good winter
snow coverage when the park opens in June,
it will take until August to catch a sunny day or two.

While you can drive around the lake (35 miles) and stop and view the lake at all
angles,
the absolute best advantage point to view the lake is from the Watchman Tower
which requires a .7 mile climb that so many never make!
The trip up was worth every step of the
way!
